O'Malley

The falls are young but take plenty of screws. Blue Funk looking a little early. Ice (and people) above Black Lake Saturday.

Anybody seen the ice above Black Lake recently? Is there any?

The Dude has been out of town for several weeks, makin' the coin. There have been at least two ascents of the Black Lake climb, both taking place about a month ago. Unless a warm weather event came through while The Dude was gone, they should still be good to go.

was back there three weeks ago...the ice was 1/4-inch thick and flaking off. wouldn't hold body weight. wondering what it's like these days.

I went back to Black Lake first week of April, most of the ice was sublimated except for the always reliable fat gr 3/4 pitch at the smaller end of the mixed wall.
